Guest solius symbiosus
It is definitely a horn coral. It is kind of reminiscent of the Miss rugose Zaphrentis(would need better photos) that is commonly silicified from the Newman Fm. of Ky, and other areas. Though, there is really no way of determining where the thing came from, They are typically reddish like the one you have. I'll to photograph one for you later. Hi Outdoorsman, Use the macro function on your digital camera, you will be able to get alot closer focus, with the camera on auto focus, put a little light on the subject, and you pictures will be amazingly better and if you have photoshop or something crop your image and more.
