I have a bunch of Agatized coral heads I want to clean up. Algea and crud/stains. Bought some muriatic acid but I don't know what ratio to mix it down to nor soak time. Cany anyone help with this?

Hey Mike, I've used it to clean algae covered crud in TX at a 25% solution. Soaking time may vary. Take all normal precautions using acid. It shouldn't affect anything that is "agatized" or silicate material.

Thanks John! I'll mix down a bit and experiment with smaller pieces.

I use a 9 hp pressure washer, that acid stinks

Ya.. had a pool in AZ that I had to acid wash with a sprayer.. it ruined the seals in the washer too lol

.. it does stink.. I wore a respirator too.. I was just thinking about hosing them out then soaking in a 5 gal bucket, then a hose wash off..

Have a pressure washer too.. but won't that bust off thin little stalagmites/stalagtites?
