This bone is pleistocene i think. It was collected near Gober TX on the NSR. Any ideas as to what it belonged to?

Its part of a cow's rear leg part of the tarsal joint i forget what the actual bone is called starts with a c i think.

Hi. Here's a post I did a while ago on a calcaneum I found in north port FL.

I'm pretty sure its a young cow.

Hello, Andre . . .

It appears that you have an artiodactyl calcaneum (as Dan suggests) -- perhaps a camel or a cervid. There is a wider variety of artiodactyls from Texas than from Florida, I think. You can see some Florida examples here: CLICK HERE FOR CALCANEA
