bear-dog
Found a sloth phalange recently.Knowing what I know[which could be dangerous] I know you cant judge the species by a phalange alone.I was more than happy to list it as a paramylodon harlani phalange. The problem is when several people also seen the other fossils found [nannippus horse teeth etc.]They said it is a more unusual[rare]paramylodon garbani phalange.I sent the info to the university and they said there was a 90+% chance it was a garbani phalange but was hoping for more sloth material to judge it by. The real problem is how should I list it harlani or garbani?I welcome any suggestions even those from tracer. Just kidding. How would you list it? Bear-dog. Cris
If unsure, "Paramylodon sp."
bear-dog
If unsure, "Paramylodon sp." What I refer to is that higher education says it's the more rarer one. Bear-dog.
