Good luck on the diving. I have seen fossils from the Crystal River, Homasassa, Chasahowitska and Weeki Washee (spelling does not count on the forum). My father was raised, and is burried, in Inverness.

you picked the wrong time of the year to ask, lol most native Floridians wont touch that water even with a 5mill suit till after spring. Your about out of time

while i dont have much in the way of diving equipment,(just mask, snorkel, and fins) id be glad to go somewhere shallow enough to go with you whenever you want. i live in levy county, about 10 miles north of dunnellon.

Cool! I found some shallow areas in the withlacoochie last week. I know they where shallow cause i hit some rocks! Im off on Thursdays and Fridays if you can go on those days.

The temperature of the water must start with 8 for me to go in.

Temps are not to bad yet. Around 68-72. bout like diving the springs! It want be long though, and it'll be dry suit season!
