Canister Air Abraider

I read somewhere (possibly on here) in the past that if you put something that vibrates inside a canister type air abraider it reduces the amount of times it clogs up with the vibrations effectively making the abrasive powder more fluid... I have a friend with one who is having some difficulty but I cant remember what it was suggested you could put in there... can anyone remember?
