What Kind Of Clam Fossil Is This ?

Hi this is Matt Textor does anyone know what kind of clam this is ?

Do you have any more information such as age, where it was found, formation etc? From the picture, it's hard to tell it's even a bivalve...Try to find the Macro setting on your camera, and take a clear closeup picture: that might help. Without any other information though it will be tough to get a specific identification.

Matt,

From the picture and information provided it appears to me to be a Dysodont (Order Dysodonta) clam. The dysodonts range in age from the Ordovician to Recent. Any additional information you can provide may help in narrowing down identification.
