safossils Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Do you have any more information such as age, where it was found, formation etc? From the picture, it's hard to tell it's even a bivalve...Try to find the Macro setting on your camera, and take a clear closeup picture: that might help. jkfoam Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 Matt, From the picture and information provided it appears to me to be a Dysodont (Order Dysodonta) clam. The dysodonts range in age from the Ordovician to Recent. Any additional information you can provide may help in narrowing down identification.
