Uncle Siphuncle
The body count from the Glen Rose formation (lower Cretaceous): About 40 Salenia echinoids of 2 or 3 species, one Globator hancockensis echinoid, several Heteraster obliquatus echinoids, one Coenholectypus planatus echinoid, many Isocrinus annulatus columnals, some articulated, one floating crinoid, a few crab claw fingers Paleopagurus banderensis, a dozen regular echinoids Loriolia rosana...I think that's about it except for the bivalves and gastropods. I've attached a few images below, but the real detail will come out in my May report once its all prepped. Hope y'all found some good-r-uns as well. Grüße, Daniel A. Auspex
Thanks Daniel, I look forward to your posts; it's always a great vicarious fossil hunt for a shop-bound wannabe. The in situ shots are great! Synechodus
How I wish my colleagues in Arlington might need my assistance once more one of these days. Keep those reports and pictures coming, Dan. Always nice too see echs from afar.
