Regards,

Thank you so much, Tim, for your kind words! ;) The unusually so rainny winter to Crete keeps me away from the more of my favorite sites, but I do my best! :)

A hearty thanks, Scott, for this once more surprising post  The amazing in this case is your nice comment in Greek. :o It's already known, that Greek is a very rich language and that it constitutes a resource for science and for many languages in the world, including English and French, of course. Characteristic are the English- Greek and the French-Greek speeches of our former prime minister X. Zolotas here .

On the other hand, it's so difficult that even the more of us Greeks don't know it very well!!!

In conclusion, I'd say that your Greek may be better than my English :notfair:

Thanks again :D :D :D

Hello all.

Today's additions are three slabs with barks and partial branches and poaceae leaves.

Here is the first one (part and counterpart).

I'm sure I'm not the first to say it, but you've amassed an incredibly diverse collection of fossils. Many are unlike anything I've seen before.

Context is critical.

Thanks for the post, Missourian ;)

I am satisfied since my collection consists of my finds in my birth place. :)

Hello all.

Came back after a while just to add a single slab at the moment.

I don't use to pick so incomplete things up, but these leaves and this branch are for first time found in my hunting area (late miocene middle Crete island, Greece) and the PDFs available are not helpful with the ids.

Thus, any help would be appreciated.

Goodness, I think those leaves may be fish, but I'm not 100% sure.

Context is critical.

These are really different! I too noticed the similarity to fish in the last picture, and I too am not sure...

The other item is either a stalk or a rhizome, I think. Very interesting!
