New Members shbutler Posted May 6, 2011 New Members Share Posted May 6, 2011 Hello, My uncle recently showed me what looks to be some kind of fossil egg, dinosaur egg perhaps. He found it over 30 years ago when he was a kid. I have posted a picture for you to look at, and I have others I can post if needed. Im trying to find out what this fossil actually is, and Im also looking to sell it for him. I am new with this, but I want to help him out anyway possible. If you have any information on this matter, than your input will be much appreciated. Thank you.
Bullsnake
A bit more info will help with this. Where it was found (locality; stream, quarry, etc.; type of rocks it was with). A picture or two of the other side. My guess would be a concretion or nodule, though. Steve
Auspex
Very likely to be a concretion. Fossildude19
I agree with Bullsnake. ... and Auspex. From the picture provided, this looks like a concretion. We need sharp, in focus, well lit pictures with a ruler for scale, multiple angles. Both sides, etc. Better pictures are what are required to make a reasonable determintaion as to what this is. Also where geographically was this found? Country, state, county, town, etc. Regards, Edited May 6, 2011 by Fossildude19 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 IPFOTM -- MAY - 2024 _________________________________________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
