New Members pher63505 Posted June 26, 2011 New Members Share Posted June 26, 2011 Hello, I have had this piece of amber for God knows how long. I and many of other people have noticed something i will show you in the first picture that looks like maybe a lacewing, or some kind of shell. The entire piece weighs about 3 pounds and looks really beautiful. I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about it, maybe how much it is worth or a place in Corpus Christi, Texas to take it to, to have someone look at it. Thank you alot for reading. Auspex
He found it in a really secluded wooded area in South Texas Anyone know what type of amber this could be? Big piece for Texas! Have you tested it to be sure it's amber? >Amber will sink in fresh water, but float in saturated salt water. >When a red-hot needle is applied to amber, the odor will be pleasantly resinous.
