-EJ Posted July 16, 2008 Share Posted July 16, 2008 I notice there is at least one UK based person on this list... What are the legalities of taking fossils off the shore cliffs around the UK. I did some collecting around the park at Dover. It is my understanding that taking stuff off the cliff is a no-no but the chunks that fall off is fair game. Check the area you are interested in on the forum mentioned above and click "Locations". The Dorset coast is a NoNo, as is the Red Crag cliff at Walton on the Naze, Essex and many other areas.
