NJ Mary Ann
There was a big storm last night, so, the kids and I drove down to Big Brook this morning to see what the rain turned up. Found a bunch of stuff that was easy for us to ID (we're pretty good with the shells...) but also a bunch of stuff that we've never found before. So, here are some quick photos. If anyone can help point me to what they are, I'd be grateful. Anything that looks interesting but needs a better photo just tell me. I'll put them all up in a couple of posts. -Mary Ann ********* "There is nothing like geology; the pleasure of the first day's partridge shooting or first day's hunting cannot be compared to finding a fine group of fossil bones, which tell their story of former times with almost a living tongue." NJ Mary Ann
Well, I am starting a rock garden out in front of the house, and at the very least I can add to it! We did find some nice Oyster shells. And it was a beautiful day to be there - the kids got soaking wet and had a fine time! -Mary Ann ********* "There is nothing like geology; the pleasure of the first day's partridge shooting or first day's hunting cannot be compared to finding a fine group of fossil bones, which tell their story of former times with almost a living tongue."
