Auspex
Among the Mil bird bones that Martijn most generously sent me was a skull fragment. Following a hunch, I believe I have discovered what kind of critter it is from (though genus and species will have to be left to someone else; anyone have any ideas?). I believe that this is part of a sea turtle skull, which Martijn says is extremely rare from Mil. First pic is the fragment, second is marked for reference. Bill
Looks pretty convincing to me. Nice one. A quick google gives some pretty similar examples. KOF, Bill. Welcome to the forum, all new members www.ukfossils check it out.
