Way to go, Scott! I knew from the very beginning that you'd win it with that one. Not only a great fossil, but also extremely aesthetically pleasing to the eye!

Best wishes, Roger

It is truly a great honor for the flower fossil to join the list of winners. For extra perspective I searched through the previous FOTM contests month by month all the way back to JohnJ and the amazing Mammoth humerus that won the inaugural award. The scores of spectacular entries since then are overwhelming to the senses. This fossil will be treasured always with this fond memory attached.

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments and to all who participate and vote each month. :)
