Trilobite Id

Hi.

I'd appreciate any info about the trilobite shown in the attached photo. It was found in a cracked-open chert pebble in a gravel pit in southwestern Mississippi, near Natchez. I understand that gravel in this area was washed from atop the Nashville Dome as it rose, maybe some from the Ozark area. Thanks in advance for any info on classification, age, or how it got embedded in chert.

age- probably carboniferous or permian

it also belongs to the order proetida

and most likely the family of proetidea sub family phillipsiidae

more than that i don't know, but i will keep looking.

brock

very nice trilobite by the way.

The pygidium looks like it could be a proetid, but it appears to have glabellar, and occipital lobes like a Ceraurus. Can you get a close up of the cephalon. If it came from the Nashville Dome, It is Ordovician. It is a nice one, and probably fairly rare.
