The one on the left is hard to place as it could be a lot of things, including a group of shells. The one on the right though should be easier. Most likely some kind of plant. If you happen to know the age/formation it was found in could you post it?. I'll research it for you and get back to you on it. Also where was it found?

The one on the left looks like what remains after a limonite pseudomorph has been subjected to weathering. They are common in the Penn sst of the Eastern US.

The one on the right appears to be a marine invertebrate... coral??? Can you get a close up pic along the axis.
