Hi,

I found this at Hookend, near Beer, UK

Does anyone know what it is, I had a look in a book and it looks like a Sea Urchin?

Here are the images.

Is that some species of Micraster? I'm not terribly familiar with UK echinoids, but rest assured it is an irregular (heart shaped) echinoid. Do you know the age of the rocks where you were collecting?

The file sizes on your photos are waaaay to large for me to attempt to open, but have you tried posting it onto the UK Fossil Forum? Im sure those guys could help you out.

Hi,

Yeah I have posted it on the UK Fossils forum as well.

Sorry about the size of the images, I will make them smaller next time.

The age of rock should be - Cretaceous, 90-110mya

Thank you for your help again.

Darren.
