Texas Geode Find?

I found this rock that seems to be a geod. There is a bed of them, someof which are the size of truck tires. Can anyone confirm this?

Yep, that is a monster geode. I would go back if I were you!

I wouldn't get TOO crazy about stocking up on them. Calcite (probably)-filled vugs aren't all that uncommon in Texas. A vug differs from a geode in that geodes are formed separately from the surrounding sedimentary rock while vugs are cavities in a rock formation that often fill with a crystalline druse. Still...a VERY nice find!

By definition, geodes have a chalcedony rind; anything else is a nodule.

Might be common there but others might love to trade for them that don't have them laying around. I find stuff here every trip out it is so common i leave it on the ground yet other folks beg me to send it to them. Common, uncommon. :D
