My Best Preserved....

These are my best preserved Palaeoxyris from the British coal measures of Derbyshire UK.Once thought of as plant fruiting structures but now believed to be fossil shark egg cases.

I know many have been found in siderite nodules from Mazon Creek and would be pleased to see any you have.

Those are really nice, especially those doubles!

I have no egg cases from Mazon Creek, but I'm sure some will show up soon!

Thanks for sharing.

Found an unusual Vetacapsula eggcase yesterday, only 1 inch long, with a larger example for size comparison.

Thanks

Neil.

Both of you, those eggcases are wonderful, a lot of detail in them. They must be a treasure to find.
