Auspex
It very much resembles a bead. What more can you tell us about it? Napoleon North
It seems to me that the man can see the bead and palm. Besides, something similar to the character of the element, but that v has two arms. Under the arms of at least one side is the letter c. That, unfortunately, the picture is not visible Best wishes Daniel
Rockwood
You might try comparing it to a crinoid columnal to see if any characters match. Photos should be easy to find.
Napoleon North
It's almost 100% is not a fossil. Another Picture of the same.At the bead is probably a man and a palm tree..Est in the pictures are hard to see. Best wishes Daniel
Indy
All of the pictures appears to show the same side of the unknown. Does the hole go all the way through the center? Indy
So ... the hole goes all the way through like a bead I don't see any obvious features pointing to crinoid. To these old eyes ... it represents one of the following 1. Bead (possibly an old or even a very old clay bead) 2. Small rock with a familiar shape and feature resembling a bead. 3. Badly weathered crinoid stem segment...weathered and tumbled past the point of positive identification. 4. If it's a true fossil ... it might be part of a larger creature ... when viewed separately ... bead comes to mind. Wish I could be of more help. Kosmoceras
Where did you find it? That is a very important question we need to know the answer to. It could be a fossil sponge; some are spherical and have a natural hole that goes through them. I can't tell though as the pictures are too far away and not quite in focus. Some people in the past used fossil sponges with a natural hole in as beads, so it would be very hard to tell I would say. It is very small at 2mm, so it seems a little small to make a hold in with a tool, it must be a tiny hole if the whole item is 2mm across. My best bet is flint/chert with the core being a fossil sponge, very common in flint gravel, and the shape just very worn/weathered. Napoleon North
I found it in the sand but just are archaeological sites.I do not know exactly where it comes from the sand but I know that there was approximately a large amber trail. Kosmoceras
So what area in Poland did you find it? For what we know, it could have been found anywhere where there is sand and archaeological stuff.
Napoleon North
Here's a picture of a Roman bead parties. Yes is from Poland The sand was in the backyard with my grandmother. Kosmoceras
Thank you for the locality data. My bet is still on the sponge - the centre that looks very much likes ones I have found. But as said before, cannot rule out bead as people of the past used them as beads. It is a nice focus on fossil folklore. Regards,

Regards, I found this piece of amber in the package, I found it a shark tooth, a few insects in amber and something else - I do not know what. This piece is quite fragile but not as much. Auspex
What is this ? It appears to be a small, polished, quartzite pebble. The high polish suggests that of a gastrolith, but microscopic study would be required to strengthen that idea. Auspex
I found it in a package with amber. Was the amber polished? This might be a stray piece of tumbling media.
