sixgill pete
A very nice Galeocerdo casei, a tiger species known only in the Belgrade Formation, Oligocene. Plate full of the rest of the better stuff. There is a croc tooth on here that as soon as I picked it up it split into 3 pieces. I have some other things that I am posting on The ID forum. Missourian
I love the electric-blue enamel of the first tooth. Context is critical.
sixgill pete
I love the electric-blue enamel of the first tooth. It is a beautiful tooth. The blue of it is unlike any I have ever found at this location before. Normally the blue is a deeper gun metal shade. sixgill pete
Now that is a great day. I had never seen a Casei before. They are very similar to the mayumbensis, but the serrations are different. Not very common. After many many trips into the mine there, I have about 20 or so, only three that are in this good condition.
