ebrocklds Posted December 3, 2007 Share Posted December 3, 2007 P.A. i would dare say that is a section of a calamites trunk. they are quite common in carboniferouse deposites around the world. some of the best come from coal mines. here is a much smaller version of the same thing. it si from the manning canyon shale formation, late miss. to early penn. ps many of the members here cannot open such large files. if you want more feedback you should post a smaller version. there is a topic in the forum that teaches how to make and post good pics. thanks brock Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
