New Members cool#9 Posted August 9, 2013 New Members Share Posted August 9, 2013 I found this picking through some shale near Chambless, CA. It seems like it could be something but I'm not sure. A friend told me it could be a Leverite. You know, leave er right where you found it. Any information is appreciated. cool#
Auspex
I suspect it is an ironstone concretion. The "rind" reminds me of siderite, on its way to becoming limonite, ant the forms are not inconsistent with that.
