Carcharodontosaurus Posted August 29, 2013 Share Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) I'm sorry, but this doesn't appear to be a fossil at all. It's a rock concretion. Don't feel bad, the ID section gets questions like these all the time. Your state Kansas is quite famous for having many fossils of Cretaceous marine animals in the Niobrara Chalk. But I think that you can only legally collect them from private land, with the landowner's permission.
