Fossildude19
Don't know, but you can try THIS WEBSITE instead. It has allot (if not all) of the same info. This one is only available sporadically, for some reason. Fossildude19
PS - FYI: I was able to copy the info from individual states (CTRL + A-(select all), CTRL + C (copy) ) and paste it (Ctrl + V (paste)) into an Excel spreadsheet for future perusal, or archival purposes, should these sites go down and not come back up. Regards, EDIT: It should be noted that all info on both websites is fairly old, and may no longer reflect sites whereabouts accurately. Many locations may no longer be accessible. It is a good starting point for research, however. Wendell Ricketts
You can crawl archived versions of fossilsites.com using the "Wayback Machine" (http://web.archive.org), but in my experience, the material listed on fossilsites is essentially useless. It's either so vague as to be unusable or is simply wrong. In other cases, it's so old that the sites have been defunct in some cases for more than a decade. I took a look Kentucky just as a kind of check. The latest fossilsites update of that page is given as October 2008, but the information listed (comparing the 2012 WayBack crawl, which is the latest I was able to see) is absolutely identical to the page I downloaded in 2001. I truly wouldn't rely on fossilsites for much of anything. W. piranha
That website is a treasure trove of information. Even though some of the data is no longer applicable for field collecting, it remains an invaluable resource for research purposes.
Fossildude19
Fossilsites appears to be up at the moment. Maybe it was scheduled maintenance.
