Reccomended Desk Lamp?

Does anyone have a desk lamp that they are really happy with and would recommend to someone who is looking to buy one? I am planning on using this lamp for most fossil related activities. I would like a lamp that can be extended a foot or two, and is really bright so that I can use it to look through micro fossils and for prepping in a couple years. Of course the brightness has to deal with the bulb used, but I would still like a lamp that has some length to it. If you like what you have, could you mention the brand/model you have? Thanks.

This topic might be better in member collections, but since it is a question, I placed it here...

I use a magnifying desk lamp. It serves multiple purposes. If I need simple task lighting it is quite bright and I can move it to where it is needed. if I need to work under some magnification as well I have that option. It is well suited for working on fossils. If you need it for lighting for the microscope it can be easily positioned where needed. I would highly recommend one.

here is the one I have.

I use that same lamp in my office.

Me to, I've had one for years

I think I'll get this one then. Thanks.

Second question.... :)

Way back in lab class, we used special lamps for the microscopes. They were mounted on adjustable arms, and had intensity 'dials' and diaphragms to adjust the brightness and spread of light. I'd love to get one for the bino scope. Has anyone seen these?

some of the small inexpensive LED lamps make nice microscope light sources.
