Timorgirl
Hi All, I have a request. I collected these little guys when I was on location in blastoid and crinoid land in west timor. Are they what is collectively called Fusulinids? Appreciate any input. Yes I snuck in a pic of a beautifully opened/broken blastoid. Nice huh! Blessings to all for Xmas and New Year. Bullsnake
Hi Timorgirl, I'm not seeing fusulinids. I do see brachiopods, coral, bryozoa, crinoid, and maybe clams. Those are very nice finds! Fusilinids are pretty small, about the size of wheat grain, and literally look like it. Al Dente
Timorgirl Most of these fossils are brachiopods. Fusilinids are smaller and most are shaped like rice grains.
Bev
I love the blastoid! We don't have those here! The more I learn, I realize the less I know.
