New Members Jwjbs Posted April 26, 2014 New Members Share Posted April 26, 2014 Hi I'm new here. I read a older forum here with people going to the blue shall area in Osborne county ks. I'd like to go here with some scouts on a trip. Can anyone tell me where this is in Osborne county?
CH4ShotCaller
I did a quick Google search and found this link, it has a map and gives a few actual descriptions of places. I don't know what is open to digging, rules of public land collecting in Kansas or what is now private land. Maybe some 'recon missions' prior to your scheduled field trip would be a good thing and better for the group. Here's a start, maybe a few of the TFF veterans will weigh in. Ramo
If you live in Osborne Kansas, you should be able to spot Blue Hill Shale almost any direction from town. All exposures I know of are private, and usually on rather large ranches, so you'll have to get permission.
