Auspex
Assuming (yeah, I know, but just for the sake of cogitation) that mosasaur bone shares the characteristic with modern bones of all types, I think that it was not 'green' when the breakage occurred, since there is no 'greenstick' appearance to the breaks. fossilized6s
Whatever the case is, it didn't heal at all because there would be a build up of bone to make that part of the animal stronger. If it was crushed prior to fossilisation it could be a smoking gun for its ultimate demise. Cool piece not matter what though. ~Charlie~ "There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why.....i dream of things that never were, and ask why not?" ~RFK ->Get your Mosasaur print ->How to spot a fake Trilobite ->How to identify a CONCRETION from a DINOSAUR EGG
RichW9090
I'd like to see additional photos. The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".
