shorty
Hello! Here's another concretion that I can't identify. This concretion was found in the northern part of the Mazon Creek area. From the creek by Whitetie Road, Morris, IL if you're familiar with the area. I'd sure like it to be eggs, but I know that's very unlikely. One of the little round balls is completely unattached, so I set it back on top. It fell out when the concretion opened. I think it came from around the edge. Please let me know if you need additional pictures or info. Thanks again for all your help! Kim
crinus
I don't think you have eggs there. Eggs are usually black spots with a membrane surrounding the spots. It look a bit like a spiral coprolite but a poorly perserved one. The is a nice spiral coprolite in Richardson't Guide..... if that is the book you are using. crinus
