Well Saturday at POC was fun and relaxing.Dave,Nacho and I sat down for some easy sifting. We really didn't find too much this trip.I was having a great time just listening to the stories that Dave had about traveling all over the US with his long time friend Nacho. My cheeks hurt from the laughter. There are some very funny stories that were told.Dave was kind enough to bring some of his Nebraska badlands material to show me. Thanks for the laughter y'all. We will have to do it again sometime!post-417-1233519435_thumb.jpgpost-417-1233519457_thumb.jpgpost-417-1233519472_thumb.jpg

I'm so disappointed that I couldn't make it. I'm going to do my very best to be there the next time there's a POC trip.

Every complex scientific problem has an elegant and simple solution... and it is wrong.

Glad you had fun. Great finds!

Hi Guys,

It was a great time on the creek.

Perfect temps!!

I have some pictures to post when I get back Thursday.

We brought chairs to sit in and screen. It was pretty relaxing.

Found a lot of sharks teeth, but sitting around with friends was the best part.

Wish more could have joined.

Chow, until Thursday.

Just rolled back into Colorado. Long haul.

Here are a few picks from the POC trip.

We sat in chairs in the middle of the river. Lazy day.

Next time I will bring a table so it want be so hard on us. (Hah)

For those that haven't seen Barry's turtle (Speed bump) Heres a picture. Very cool.

Also, look at the sticks way up on the bridge. Shows you just how high the water can get.

Great pics Dave!

Do you think you could get a Pizza delivered to the "dig" site? :P

I did have plenty of munchies but I hadn't thought about the pizza thing.

Thanks for the suggestion.

That's hunting in comfort and style! When you bring the table, you'll have a place for the pizza.

Is that a gopher tortoise?

Yes a table would have been the ultimate.

I think we can get a pizzaman to deliver to the wrecking yard above the creek....yummm.yummm.

It's a Burmese Mountain Tortoise "Manouria emys"

Very cool tortoise Barry! I have 3 boxies myself. 1 texas ornate(Leo) and 2 three toed box turtles(bump and shelly). I almost got a sulcata but wasn't sure I was ready to deal with that size.

Ummm.... he doesn't look so good. IT looks like you fed him way too much fiber!

Hey that's the best kind, you don't have to feed it!

Hey Jimmy, I have kept Ornates and Three Toed before. My Ornates would climb the chicken wire I had surrounding my apartment porch. They always used to run to me when I fed them whole corn on the cobb. Neat pets!
