Guest solius symbiosus Posted February 4, 2009 Share Posted February 4, 2009 I've come across this a few times through the years, but usually, I ignored it. This past week I brought this one home. I'm thinking that it is a sponge??? As can be seen in the mag views, the structure is different from a stromotoporoid. It could be a piece of flow stone. Any of you fellow Paleozoic invert geeks ever see anything similar? top view(scale in cm) bottom view(scale in cm) side view with some mag Ooops! It is Middle Ordovician.
