Mike Owens
Just curious to see if I got it right. I know very little when it comes to invertebrates. It's two inches across. Added front & other side views. -----"Your Texas Connection!"------ Fossils: Windows to the past
MOROPUS
It`s a Spiriferid brachiopod member. They lived from (as far as I remember), from Silurian, up to Permian or even Triassic (only in Madagascar, I think!). But I can`t help you in more. New frontal, and upper pics needed! Sorry!

trilospain
Hello Mike: I think it could be Spirifer mucronatus from the Devonian. These links could help you: http://www.geocities.com/atrypa/brach4.html http://www.uky.edu/KGS/fossils/nettelroth.htm#6 (look for Devonian brachiopods)

Hopefully someone here, more knowledgeable than myself, will speak up. -----"Your Texas Connection!"------ Fossils: Windows to the past
jkfoam
If the fossil is from west of Ft.Worth it could be Spirifer arkansanus found in the Pennsylvanian. Nice fossil. All of them I ever collected had one or both wings broken off. JKFoam The Eocene is my favorite
