Guest bmorefossil
I knew I would not find much today being that the river is all ice again so I thought I would see what I could find and take some pictures for you all to enjoy. As you can see with the look on my face I wanted all that ice to melt!! I did find some nice fossils, for only being there 25min., it was really cold and there was really nothing to find. Funny how I drove over 2 hours( down and back) just to hunt for 25mins. lol. Have a nice day guys. the reason I took two pictures of the first ray plate was because after taking the first one I noticed that large tooth behind it. Guest bmorefossil
One word DEDICATION ! it should be really good this weekend, look for a post. The beach is covered with fossils which is covered with snow/ice lol!!! we expect it to be over 50 degrees both days this weekend so when the stuff melts it should be easy pickings. Oh-Man
Brrrrrrrrr - I'm glad I live in TX! Although there are those pix of my digging ammonites out from under ice covered limestone blocks from 4 weeks ago... But that was practically in Oklahoma. With that north wind I could smell the trailer parks... What is geology? "Rocks for Jocks!"
gwe106
hey bmore it seems like you have been finding a lot of intact ray plates lately. Ive only been a member for a little while but do you have a better chance of finding them in the winter for some reason or have you found them like that all year long?
