Hey David, interesting creek finds....I should wait for the Paleo invert experts to chime in but my initial thought was these look like internal molds/casts of a brachipod called Pentamerus..think it was mostly Silurian, but..... Hope someone who really knows can set you straight...Regards, Chris
davidweaver
Hi Chris: I am really new to fossils, and have been mostly collecting pretty rocks, mostly quartz and some geo-type, and flint. It is interesting to hear what some of these are. I still have a few more to send until someone says enough. Thanx for the input.
howard_l
I think Chris got it right, they look like the typical Dolomitic/silica replacement that is found in Ohio and Kentucky. 1 Howard_L http://triloman.wix.com/kentucky-fossils
davidweaver
Thanx all - I found all of these this summer. It was a dry summer with very little water.
