catfuraplenty
It was a lovely day at the beach on the Bolivar penninsula. Unfortunately the area off the beach has pretty much been leveled by Hurricane Ike. While Ike swept things away, he has left fossils that have been slowly washing up out of the Beaumont clay for decades. On a field trip with the Houston Gem and Mineral society joined with the Houston Geologic Society, this is a highlight of what we found. None of this was difficult to get, just a lot of walking and looking.

barefootgirl
Cool finds and to think I used to go there and fish all the time.
