aplomado
Hello All, I wanted to thank you for being so helpful to me with other questions. I've got another- Does this trilobite appear real? http://www.ebay.com/itm/141547258090?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
piranha
The trilobite is authentic and that seller accurately represents the trilobites he offers for sale. The low $9.99 starting bid is more than fair for a nice representative example of that species.
aplomado
Oh yeah... I'm forbidding you folks from bidding on this one....
Wrangellian
I have to say I don't know why they have to prep those bug to 'fly' like that - does it actually give you a look at the ventral surface or something? (I don't think so) - all it does is make them more expensive and harder to ship. I would be happy with a well-prepped non-flying specimen if it were more affordable and more sturdy. (Of course I wouldn't sniff at a flying one either if the price is right!) I'm not gonna bid, I don't have the patience or steadiness to handle those broken spines... Good luck! aplomado
Got it! Hope I didn't pay too much... I'm going to get our office assistant to try and re-glue the spines!

aplomado
Our office assistant did a beautiful job supergluing the spines back on! Only three spines couldn't be replaced. BEFORE (the worst side): AFTER: Fore $36 plus shipping I am very happy with it (and her)! Edited January 29, 2015 by aplomado
