New Members Jersey410 Posted July 11, 2015 New Members Share Posted July 11, 2015 First time out and not sure if we found anything. Attached is the area we searched. Took advice I read in the forums. Pulled rocks from washed out areas on the sides of the hills. Also attached is an image of what we found (though it all looked the same.) Question is to all of you who know what you are doing is, looking at the image, does anyone think we may have something? We are freezing a majority of them now. Thanks for taking the time! Stocksdale
In the picture, the one that is top right looks like a nodule that might contain a fossil. Many of the ones in the lower section look like plain rocks. But it is hard to tell for sure. Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.–Carl Sagan
Rob Russell
I agree with Paul. Perhaps a few may contain something inside. You'll increase your odds greatly if you can find an area that produces smooth and symmetrical concretions. Here's a picture of some that I have ready for the freeze/thaw process. And welcome to the forum! Edited July 11, 2015 by Rob Russell Finding my way through life; one fossil at a time.
