New Members ARE Posted July 12, 2015 New Members Share Posted July 12, 2015 I found these teeth in Sherman, Texas yesterday and I have no idea what species this could be. Some people told me it could be Bison for the unboxed ones and camel for the boxed one, but I am unsure. Can someone help me identify what species it is and the age of the teeth if possible? If you need me to post more pictures of the teeth, please ask and I will.
Auspex
The best view for this job is the occlusal; straight down on the chewing surface, with exact width, depth, and height measurements. Even then, differentiating between Bos and Bison is difficult.
