Florida Mammal Tooth

Found this small tooth last weekend. The pics aren't great, but I would be happy to take more to help i.d. The coloring is interesting to me, as most of what I find is dark to black in color.

partial deer molar.

And they're different colors because one part is the root, the other the tooth. Think of a shark tooth.

The "tooth" has a layer of enamel over the dentine, while the root is just that dentine. The enamel results in the coloration.

Thanks for the responses. I now know which storage bin it goes in. It is my first deer tooth.
