Pliestocene Mammal Molar

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I found this very nice mammal tooth today here in North Port. It was ontop of the clay/shell layer, so I believe it to be Pliestocene. There seems to be no wear at all on the chewing surface, so maybe it was never above the gums?

I love the color on that, its beautiful.

You're correct, Dan. It's an unerupted third molar from an equid horse.
