A local fossil shop (ZMR Fossils) in Minneapolis hosts a trip to Morocco every year. Maybe you could hook up with them if the timing is right. They live with the indigenous people, use camels, and find fossils!!!!! Someday maybe I will go but till my daughter is through college, it is an unlikely venture. Their website used to have quite a bit of material on this trip. They also would be very open to giving you advice, from what I know of them.
