jeremyh
Well in my 7 years of searching areas surrounding strip mines ect, I have found species of vegatation I am not able to identify. One prime example is below. All I can say is that it is from the carboniferous period and is pretty big and heavy lol. It is about5 inches wide, the slab it is in only displays it as about 10 inches wide. The slab is bigger, but I am specifically refering to this bit. Does anyone know hat species this is, and maybe what it is worth(No, I am not selling).

jeremyh
After checking google images I have to agree with you. Thanks alot. These seem to be pretty common as I find loads of them. I found one that was 4 feet long, but it was too darn heavy and delicate to cary for a mile.
