I see you've been busy!

Wonderful pieces; I would especially like to find out what the "ball" is...

the "ball" looks like it is some sort of mud wasp nest. but it is very unusual(at least in my area) to see it with decoration on it. very interesting. i also love the first specimen

Great specimens and pictures. Is the ball some kind of cone?

RomanK..........Very Nice specimens you have there.....That ball looks very strange and interesting, maybe its a small shrimp or similars home built in the margins of a river delta from fragments of material lying about and glued together with mud, and once the delta dried up, it became hard enough to fossilise the next time it was buried.....I love it!!

Heres a small 'Syncarid Crustacean' possibly something like this built it

'Ripple marks'.... fossilised in the same principle as discussed

post-1630-1242720853_thumb.jpg

What was inside the ball when it broke?

I'D LIKE TO BELIEVE BUT THINK IT'S JUST MODERN FORMATION CAUSE WHEN IT BROKE I SAW ONLY CAVITY IN THE STONE. THANKS FOR COMMENT.
