Uncle Siphuncle
...and all I have to show for it is this knot on my temple where he judo-snapped me with his canoe paddle! Due to my blurred vision and enduring migraine it is no surprise that I walked right past a fist sized mosasaur caudal vertebra that my esteemed colleague Johnny picked up 2 feet behind me. Good times, good finds, heavy backpacks at each site....the Georgetown formation which spans from Temple to San Marcos was quite productive to the tune of many Mortoniceras ammonites (John says I was a Mort-tician yesterday) as well as echinoids Coenholectypus sp., and nautiloids Paracymatoceras sp. from the Mainstreet member of the Kgt, Macraster echinoids from the Fort Worth member of the Kgt, and pyritized Neithea and Rastellum bivalves and Globator whitneyae echinoids from somewhere in the Kgt (Fort Worth? Weno?). John may have pics to post, but as for me they'll be available in my May report...... Grüße, Daniel A. Wöhr aus Südtexas "To the motivated go the spoils." Uncle Siphuncle
OK maybe I'll stay in part of this weekend to hopefully complete my March report and send it to the museum. It took me over 2 hours just to photo all the stuff. It may take me another 8 hours to finish the report, but if I don't finish it this weekend, it may be a while....a certain "highly credentialed field associate" will be landing in San Antonio next week and we'll of course be spending some quality time afield......
