Frank Menser
Found this in the Cretaceous material at the pond near a couple of nice Mosasaur teeth (pictured) The shark tooth is 3" to give size. Be true to the reality you create.
Oh-Man
Nice finds, no idea what the mystery tooth is if it's not mosasaur. Megs and mosasaurs - Your pond rocks! What is geology? "Rocks for Jocks!"
mommabetts
It looks like a beat up mossasaur to me.
Frank Menser
I photographed this tooth before I washed it so the shape of the grooves would photograph better. Under the grey matrix it is as polished as the exposed areas. What is odd is that the grooves run lengthwise like a tooth I found in the GMR as opposed to the very battered tooth in the group photo. mommabetts
It still looks like a mossy to me.
Frank Menser
The general size and shape, plus the association with Mos teeth found at this site suggested Mos to me as well. It gets a little complicated when there are similar teeth (Whale, Croc and Gator) found in the same area. Very odd that it would erode this way - if that is the case. Thanks for the input.
