Are These The Same Kind Of Horn Corals?

Would different varieties occur in the same location? Can I assume Horn corals 3 and 4 ( My neices) are the same variety?

Nice stuff! I used to pass through that area a lot, but I have never collected it. Why didn't I make the time?<shucks, darn, dagnabbit>

Yeah, there can be multiple varieties. Classifying rugosids often are tricky; your best bet would be to find some literature for the bed.

I agree, I find iding them extremely testing on my brain. Horn corals often look very alike and depending on the fossilization sometimes you can't tell. Very nice specimens.
