LanceH
OK, this is from mid-Cretaceous deposits in North Texas. It appears to be a dentition of a scraper type fish (I guess). I'm aware of the Pycnodont fish whose teeth are very regular. This one the "teeth" are very random and unregular. Any ideas what it is from? mommabetts
Lance I have to say, that is one h**l of a camera, you just gave your finger prints to the world. What kind do you have?
LanceH
It's a Canon PowerShot SD1000. Sometimes it takes great pics, sometimes not so much.

Ramo
Man!! I don't have a clue on that! It does kind of look like a Pycnodont plate, but they seem too irregular. If you find out what it is, let us know. For one species to mourn the death of another is a new thing under the sun. -Aldo Leopold

Nicholas
A worn Pycnodont plate? Or a possible deformity?
