Tooth Id

Hello.. any idea what this is? whale maybe???

It has the shape of a sperm whale tooth. It delaminates like a whale tooth. It would be useful to know where it was found. Was it in a marine association?

Yes I found it about a mile from the Frankstown site in northeast Ms.

Diggerdan, no Miocene/Pliocene localities near frankstown - the subsurface is all Cretaceous. So, it is either Petrified wood, of which there is a ton of in the area, or a rock...
