Harry Pristis
Hello.. any idea what this is? whale maybe??? It has the shape of a sperm whale tooth. It delaminates like a whale tooth. It would be useful to know where it was found. Was it in a marine association? ----Harry Pristis http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest

hybodus
Diggerdan, no Miocene/Pliocene localities near frankstown - the subsurface is all Cretaceous. So, it is either Petrified wood, of which there is a ton of in the area, or a rock...
